Launching Setlex.co - tennis discovery platform

TLDR: I’m launching tennis tracking web app - setlex.co

setlex.co - discover tennis

I spent my summer evenings building a consumer app. Not another AI tool.. Meet setlex.co - a tennis discovery platform. Modern and convenient UX for exploring and keeping up to date with the latest. Few major parts:

  1. Tournaments - all ATP and WTA 250+ events from the both tours.

  2. Rankings - unpacking how the ATP & WTA rankings are really built (see Rybakina’s ranking score breakdown for example)

  3. Collections - country based automated tracking of the players representing particular countries, and their participation at particular tournaments. For example, you can conveniently see “all Kazakh tennis players at the US Open 2026”, or “Spaniards at China Open 2026”

  4. Reports - insights answering questions about the tour, like who is best on clay, who has won the most points, who has climbed furthest, and the data keeps coming fresh every week!

But, why tennis?

My daughter trains 5-6 times a week, so I naturally started following the sport. I went looking for a modern app that combines both tours and stands up to my personal taste, and couldn't find one. So I decided to fill the gap, and built one myself!

But, why not AI?

Because I think the technology train is way ahead of where consumer products are. The models will keep getting better anyway. What's missing are products with well-thought-through UX, solid reliability and good taste, and that gap is growing, not shrinking. Everyone is shipping one more copilot or agent. I think the bigger opportunity is to take what the technology already makes possible and build something people simply enjoy using.

Give me feedback!

I would highly appreciate if you give me feedback on the website by going and testing the setlex.co. It was extremely fun to build it, setting up all the data and deployment pipelines, iterating on the design, focusing on little details of the UX side things, developing design system, tuning performance, setting up analytics, ideating features for my own self and building it for the rest of the world. Ping me with whatever way is convenient for you, either here, Linkedin, Instagram or Telegram.

Post Scriptum

My Github account activity since I started working

AI is in how Setlex got built, not in the pitch. June to September was the most output I've ever produced, thanks to modern tooling. Since becoming an engineering manager my days are mostly meetings and alignment, so being back to building a product myself (well, almost myself) is such a breath of fresh air.
